History Kay Bojesen, was born 15. august 1886 - and died 28. august 1958, 72 years old. 1906 educated as merchant and started the silver smith education by Georg Jensen withc he ended in 1910. Took further education in Germany and worked as siversmith in Paris and Copenhagen. 1913 he had his own company in Nybrogade in Copenhagen 1922 he created his first wooden toys. 1928 he setteled with the typical danish skønvirke style and began working in the functionalistic style. 1930 sold his shop and strated working for Bing & Grondahl as artistic leader. 1932 opned his own shop in Bredgade 47 in Copenhagen in connection to this silversmith there was a woodturning workshop From this littel shop he run the worl famous company in 26 years.
